Clarendon Yards
Pedder & Scampton developed two different schemes for a Meanwhile use of a North London warehouse. Both schemes propose lightweight structures to enclose the space under the three big cantilevered volumes on the front façade of the building. The "straight" proposal is based on rectilinear volumes, bold graphics and primary colours, while the "curvy" proposal uses big inwards and outwards curves to generate social spaces. The materials proposed are cheap and sturdy cladding materials including spray painted plywood, polycarbonate, coloured Filon, perforated metal panels and acrylic sheet on timber frame.
