Pedder & Scampton has remodelled several flats for clients who are re-shaping their lives or are in need of additional space. We discuss their needs, aspirations and budget prior to making a careful assessment of the layout of the whole flat and proposing new openings, repositioning of walls, relocation of kitchens and bathrooms, new extensions and so on, as appropriate. Remodelling requires you to move out so that rooms, walls and services can be completely repositioned to suit the new designs.

We have transformed flats with dull, convoluted layouts into light, sunny rooms that link to each other and to the garden. We can design purpose made furniture – from bookshelves and cupboards, to desks and even children’s dens. Please refer to the ‘Internal Details’ section for examples. It is particularly important in small spaces that each new element of the design ‘works hard’. This means, for example, that a cupboard might also work as a room divider.
