Our experience of working on community projects means Pedder & Scampton can design accessible and tailored buildings to cater for a wide range of existing disabilities and to meet potential future needs. We have put this knowledge to good use in two private home projects. The first is a conversion and ground floor extension to a large house that provides a family kitchen, dining room and walk in shower room. Designed to meet Lifetime Homes standards, it will enable the owners to remain in their house once the stairs are no longer manageable. Instead they can retreat to the ground floor for living, sleeping, cooking and washing. The second is a small, inner city maisonette where two carefully located extensions created an accessible bedroom and bathroom for a disabled relative and additional improvements for the whole family.
