Proposals for supported housing for people with autism on a vacant pocket site adjacent to local allotments.  The housing to be jointly funded by a Housing Association and the NHS.  The scheme combines a terrace of one bed flats with a more enclosed grouping at one end to suit residents with higher support needs - the whole creating a visually linked community embedded in the residential area.  The arcaded entrances at ground and first floor provide liminal space at each front door and individual units are laid out internally to create a comfortable environment for autistic residents.  An enclosed garden with wander loop gives opportunities for gardening, exercise and retreat whilst a shared common room provides social space and a place for training activities.
