-  Co-ordinating other consultants’ design and technical input into the final design
-  Building regulations applications
-  Advise on the CDM regulations and asbestos surveys
-  Detailed construction drawings and specifying materials and fittings, including interiors and
    colour schemes
-  Designing robust, easily maintained construction
-  Designing for full disability access and specific needs as appropriate
-  Designing with energy saving and ease of use in mind
-  Design of external areas
-  Design of special fittings; reception desks, shop display shelving etc
-  Managing the tender process
-  Advice on appointing a contractor and the appropriate type of construction contract
-  Administering the contract during and after construction including regular site visits
