A project to assist a small popular brewery in Tottenham expand into a large industrial unit. The project was part funded with a Haringey Opportunity Investment Fund loan as part of the Tottenham regeneration plan enabling small businesses to thrive and grow in the borough, employing local people. Working closely with the clients and their specialists, Pedder & Scampton prepared concept designs, layouts and construction information for a large brewhouse with shiny new brewing vessels, a cold store and new offices. The completed brewhouse enables Redemption to triple their beer production. Elements designed and still to be built include a bar overlooking the brewhouse, a brightly coloured retail display unit fitted as a vertical element in the stairwell and large scale graphic panels at high level in the brewhouse visible from the bar 'terrace'. For these elements the focus has been to use readily available, inexpensive industrial materials combined with strong colours and graphics to create a lively, unique place within the brewery. The plan is to use local art colleges for the graphics display panels.
